When Venn Constructions were approached to design and construct a complete building refurbishment at the University of Queensland Gatton Campus for animal genomics services company Neogen/Geneseek, we grasped the challenge with both hands.

From the initial client briefing, Venn Constructions provided a full scope, specification and detailed construction and services plans before proceeding with the works.

The first obstacle was removing all asbestos-containing materials and stripping the building back to its bare bones. Construction and fitout of the laboratories, amenities and office spaces then began, based on Office of the Gene Technology Regulator guidelines for a PC1 facility—and the end result speaks for itself.
