Over the course of several years, Venn Constructions were employed by the University of Queensland to refurbish the external façade of the heritage-listed Mayne Medical School at Herston.
Following the guidelines of the Arts and Heritage Department, we systematically removed, repaired and reinstated all external windows. Works also included new copper roofing and parapets matching the existing styles, rendered sill repairs and recoating the external façade with lime wash.
In our fully equipped Capalaba workshop, our qualified joiners reconstructed several windows and doors significantly damaged by time, retaining and repairing as much original fabric as possible and matching new materials to the existing building.
