When Venn Constructions were approached to design & construct a complete building refurbishment at the University of Qld Gatton Campus for an animal genomics services company (Neogen/Geneseek), we grasped the challenge with both hands.
From the initial briefing with the client to determine their exact requirements, Venn Constructions set forth on providing the client with a full scope, specification and detailed construction & services plans before proceeding with the construction works.
The first obstacle was to rid the structure of all asbestos containing materials and stripping the building back to its bare bones.
Construction and fit out of the laboratories, amenities and office spaces could then begin, based on the construction guidelines of the OGTR (Office of the Gene Technology Regulator) for a PC1 facility …. and the end result speaks for itself.
